Popis:	T2DM is on the rise and HBV is an intermediate endemic disease in India. We aimed to identify HBV genotype in persons with T2DM. On analysis, all participants had HBV genotype D2. Also, 50% had CLD including HCC. HBV disease severity is driven by HBV genotype. HBV genotype may be a prognostic marker for chronic liver disease and customize therapy.
