Façade Shaping as Local Means Protecting Against Traffic Noise

Popis: Based on the simulation program, it is possible to modify a shape of a building façade to obtain favourable conditions of acoustical climate. The favourable conditions are searched for in a form of a recess in a building façade creating a vertical niche. Observing the recess parameters and the building position in relation to the road, the range of the total positive effect is defined. The applied simulation program considers a road structure and traffic composition as well as influence of surrounding objects. Adjusting the modelling accuracy, the simulation model validation range is defined. The comparison with the field measurements showed that the simulation model could be applied for upper floors of the high-rise building. For this range, the obtained results can be applied in designing of the noise abatement means.
