Popis: The authors provide experimental evidence that strong electron-electron interactions dramatically enhance many-body recombination processes. They demonstrate that insulating copper oxides exhibit a nonlinear optical response that saturates with incident power, which they explain in terms of a simplified kinetic model that includes unusually large rates for carrier trapping and Auger recombination.
