| Popis: | The diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease includes documentation of cognitive impairment and exclusion of other causes of dementia. Screening of mental status can be performed by the primary care physician or by a neuropsychologist for a more in-depth assessment. Testing for genetic markers has a clearly defined role only in patients with a family history of early-onset disease. |
