Hydromechanical transmission for a class D passenger car with rear-wheel drive is developed. Design power of the engine is 74 kW. The transmission includes a complex torque converter, planetary gearbox, which provides five forward and one reverse gears, the main gear and inter-axle differential. The gearbox has a flange connection with the engine through an intermediate plate and is located in the underhood of the car. The transmission is hydraulically controlled and the torque converter is envisaged to be locked. There is a design calculation of the transmission, synthesis of the gearbox scheme with three degrees of freedom. Its kinematic and power calculations are made. There is a verification traction calculation of the car, traction and acceleration characteristics are determined. The main transmission parts: gears, splines, shafts, bearings and friction. |
