Popis: Recently Bangladesh has hired a slot at 119.1° east from Intersputnik International for her maiden communication satellite. Requests for some different slots at 69°, 74°, 102° & 133° East (codenamed as BDSAT-69E, BDSAT-74E, BDSAT-102E, BDSAT-133E) has also been submitted to ITU. Slant height, Elevation, Rain Attenuation & Path Loss for C & Ku band have been analyzed for all of these bands. After the analysis and required calculation, the most appropriate slot for launching satellite for Bangladesh has been chosen. It turned into evident that “102° EAST” is the most suitable slot for Bangladesh. The next suitable slot is “74° EAST”. The performance of the satellite at the other slots have also been analyzed and offered in this paper.
