Popis: | Paint manufacturing firms in Anambra State seem not to examine the behaviour of their employees at work in order to change undesirable ones or retain the ones that are seen to be favourable to the realization of organizational goals. The study seeks to determine the extent to which employee recognition affects employee commitment which is also in line with the research question and hypothesis. The research adopted a survey research design. The population of the study is 123. 123 copies of structured questionnaire were distributed to the participants, 117 copies were found useful for data analysis. Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to test the hypothesis. Cronbach alpha was used to test for reliability of the instrument. The findings revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between employee recognition and employee commitment. The study concludes that, behavior modification practice is an important factor that can improve employee performance. The researcher recommended that paint manufacturing companies should adopt recognition programs which will help to enhance overall employee commitment and performance. |
