Popis: This publication contains several writings organized into thematic chapters, the reading of which does not follow a specific order. Because of its multiple authors, various voices are captured without losing sight of the main purpose: to write a story about some of the collective and individual social themes and problems in the literary work of Fernando Soto Aparicio. Such themes have caused academic reflection on education, sociology, history, literature, and, in the case concerned, bioethics, which is an unbeatable bridge to connect scientific knowledge with the knowledge of humanities, ethics, and aesthetics. For this, literature is fundamental. The book has three parts. It begins with “Voices for the Personality,” a chapter that shows in a simple, brief, and warm manner some particular perceptions of master Soto Aparicio by those who make up the research group. It continues with “Voices for a Work,” where we develop an understand- ing of the great social issues of our time, in Colombia and Latin America, present in this writer’s extensive narrative work. “Telling Voices,” the third and last part, provides de- tails of what Soto Aparicio’s family, friends, and colleagues have said about him in some interviews.
