Popis: | Elastic fields affect the late-stage coarsening behavior in Ni-based superalloys during their service conditions. Their high-temperature properties are attributed to the stable γ - γ ' morphology. Elasticity can alter the coarsening dynamics of such microstructures by modifying the Gibbs-Thompson effect. To study the influence of elasticity, particle position, and ordering type on the coarsening process, we simulate different sets of few-particle simulations, and obtain compelling results which are different from those predicted by the classical theory. This anomaly is correlated with inter-particle distance and explained by total chemical potential, which ultimately drives the entire process. |
