Popis: Since its introduction in 1981[1], clinical heart-lung transplantation has developed into a viable treatment for patients with end-stage cardiopulmonary diseases. Original surgical techniques have been well described[2]. As the worldwide experience has increased, several refinements in the selection and care of donors, and in surgical technique for recipients, have contributed to improved outcome. These issues are discussed in this chapter.
