Popis:	By fractionation of rabbit leukocytic pyrogen (LP) on a Sephadex column and by the alcohol method a nonpyrogenic protein fraction of LP was isolated. In intact rats this fraction caused stimulation of granulocytopoiesis, an increase in the proliferative activity of the granulocytes and their absolute number in bone marrow and peripheral blood, and also an increase in the number of macrocolonies in the spleen of lethally irradiated mice on account of an increase in the number of granulocyte colonies.
