Popis:	A versatile synthesis of (±)-3,4-cis-Δ1,2-tetrahydrocannabinol (12) and two pyrolytic cracking products of 3,4-trans-Δ1,2-cannabidiol is described. A modification of a previously described synthesis of (12), by condensation of olivetol with citral, led to a convenient synthesis of (±)-3,4-trans-Δ1,2-cannabidiol (3) and (±)-3,4-trans-Δ1,2-tetrahydrocannabinol.
