Popis: | The Farol-Weissenberg rheogoniometer has been used to investigate the early stages of cure of a polyester resin. By using the oscillatory facility of the rheogoniometer it is possible to follow the response of the resin system to torsional shear from the time of gelation into the early region of the gel state. Measurements of torsional forces made possible the determination of a modulus of elasticity (γM) at intervals of time during the cure and this parameter is shown to increase with increasing degree of crosslinking. |
