Popis: | We demonstrate the generation of electron currents with remotely launched surface plasmon polaritons in Au nanojunctions under ambient conditions. Electron currents across gaps ranging from 4–12 nm are investigated and described by a modified Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) model. |
