Popis: | A prototype electromagnetic calorimeter of lead-proportional tube layers has been built and tested at high energy beam at Fermilab. The proportional tubes were made of extruded conductive plastic and 50 um tungsten wire, and the signals were picked up by pads and strips stretched on the outside of the tubes. The basic characteristics of the tube and the detailed results from the test by 10 to 46 GeV electron and 40 GeV pion beams are prsented. |
