Popis:	Small bowel obstruction constitutes around 80% of all mechanical obstruction. It usually presents as cramping abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting. There is usually a 12-hour lag between the clinical symptoms and radiological findings. Etiology of small bowel obstruction can be divided into congenital causes, such as jejunal or ileal atresia, and acquired causes such as adhesions and incarcerated hernias.
