Popis:	We have reviewed many marine saline formations and their depositional basins, and have found that the paleogeography of the basins can usually be reconstructed fairly accurately. This leads to a consideration of pattern in the morphology, hydrology, and distribution of sediments in the marine halogenic basins of the geologic past and of their influence on the constitution of the saline formations.
