Popis: | Optimal design and application of field protection forest strips in agricultural landscapes significantly changes the surrounding microclimate and increases the level of crop productivity. A historical analysis of the development of field protection forest strips on the territory of Ukraine was carried out. We have allocated and seven periods of the development of field protection plantations on the territory of Ukraine are characterized. The first period was characterized by the creation of a system of artificial plantings around homesteads and settlements to improve the living conditions of people. At the second stage, field protection strips were developed to increase the efficiency of farming. During the third period, various configurations of steppe afforestation and their scientific justification were formed. At the fourth stage, technologies and agrotechnics for the creation of field-protecting forest strips were substantiated on the lands of agricultural use. The fifth and sixth periods are marked by an increase in the area under protective forest plantations. Special attention to soil protection, water regulation, field protection and other meliorative plantings. At the national level, large-scale work on the creation of protective forest plantations in the steppe regions of the country has begun. The seventh period, which continues to this day, is characterized by uncertainty in the field of legislation regulating the use and protection of field protection strips on the territory of Ukraine, inventory problems, deterioration of the quality, functioning of field protection forest strips. Also, the lands under the field protection strips do not belong to forestry land, but were classified as agricultural land and have the status of non-agricultural land. |
