Popis: | Resonant longitudinal and transverse phonon excitation in polycrystalline nickel films is reported with parallel r.f. and d.c. magnetic fields applied in the film plane. A new contribution to the magnetoelastic Hamiltonian, which is linear in applied magnetic fields and strains, is proposed to explain the results of this and other experiments on Ni. |
