Popis: | Multicarrier FM signal amplified by non-linear amplifiers, generate intermodulation products resulting in cross-talk, in each channel. Typical examples of such amplifiers are saturated TWT amplifiers, constituting the vital communication equipment, both in the spacecraft transponder and the ground segment. With the international satellite services getting changed from a power-limited mode to bandwidth-limited mode, an optimum use of space segment calls for utilization of single 40-MHz spacecraft transponder for more than one video channel transmission.This paper describes the study made to examine the practical feasibility of utilization of single 40-MHz spacecraft transponder for transmission of two video channels using ATS-6 CXC (6 GHz/4 GHz) transponder. |
