Popis: Olefins with branching at the double bond, and secondary and tertiary alcohols are carbonylated at atmospheric pressure and 25° in the presence of the catalyst system composed of the Cu(I)-CO and (BF3·H2O)·2(BF3·H3PO4) complexes to giveα,α-dimethylalkanoic acids in 70–94% yield.
