SMEs play an important role in the economic development of the state. However, the Ukrainian IPR governing institutions do not distinguish SMEs as a separate group of consumers of IPR related services. Expressing understanding of the importance of SMEs in economic development, it does not look that the Ukrainian authorities recognize a need for special treatment of SMEs in the IPR sphere. The report presents an overview of current legislation, available IPR instruments in Ukraine, and institutional framework. |
