| Popis: | This was not a linear progression, so I think the details may be useful to others who might make this journey. I peg the start at the unseasonable smell of burning leaves emanating from our one and only radio. The power transformer was gone, and there was no money (circa 1930s) to simply replace it. My older brother and I acquired a soldering iron and a replacement transformer and succeeded in getting a working radio. This led to enrolling in a high school class geared to understanding and constructing a radio. |
