A man of ideals, ideas, and action, Neville Kirsch contributed valuable information to the medical literature, beginning in 1947 with his article on Sulzberger-Garbe dermatosis,2 followed by papers on the side effects of systemic medications and a spectrum of other articles of clinical importance.314 At age 79, approaching the most tenebrous of times, Neville was working on such projects as foreign-body granulomas and veterinary dermatology. In the 955 months of the marvelous tapestry of his life, Neville Kirsch helped thousands of patients, made a difference in the lives of many physicians, and among both made myriad friends. He will continue to live as a remarkable man in the memories of the multitude who continue to benefit from his life.
