Popis: | In this paper, we demonstrate the effect of poly (lactic acid) surface modification by collagen native fibrils deposition on cell growth. Amount of cells was estimated by the fluorescence microscopy and MTT assay. The effect of hydrophilicity and the presence of collagen fibrils, as well as the importance of the collagen native structure preservation on cell growth, were investigated. It was shown that covering even a small percentage of the poly (lactic acid) layer surface with collagen fibrils has a significant effect on a cell growth that is comparable to the effect of hydrophilicity factor. Poly (lactic acid) surface with deposited collagen fibrils demonstrates the difference of cell growth rate with and without plasma treatment. The correlation of the cell morphology at nanoscale level (cytoskeleton development) and cell migration activity to the cells growth activity and proliferation rate was revealed by a combination of atomic-force, fluorescence microscopy and MTT assay. |
