This work presents a training system for upper limb amputees, based on holographic computation. The training system aims to help and accelerate the process of rehabilitation of future prosthesis users. Traditionally, in these cases, rehabilitation periods can take up to 12 months. As a result, patients who have direct access to a prosthesis usually become frustrated due to their difficulty in use, coupled with an emotional state caused by a recent amputation. In addition, some amputee training initiatives through Virtual Reality (VR) have appeared in the literature. However, studies show that an enhanced training environment can provide a more realistic experience for your users. This is the motivation of this work: to evaluate how an increased environment, supported by holographic computation techniques, can contribute to the reduction in the time of adaptation of amputees to their prostheses. To this end, new tracking techniques in environments of this nature need to be designed, being also a proposal of this article. |
