Mathematical models that describe the dynamics of the machine when driving on the road are widely used in the design of tracked vehicles to assess the load of the chassis, smoothness and controllability. A moving tracked vehicle overcomes curved sections of path for a significant portion of time. This mode is accompanied by intense dynamic loads acting on the elements of the suspension system. Therefore, when simulating the movement of a tracked vehicle on a road, it is important to adequately describe the interaction of the track with soil in curvilinear sections. The article proposes a technique for modeling the interaction of tracks of a caterpillar with soil using the finite-element method. LS-Dyna software package is used for calculation. Modeling is carried out for different types of soil and for tracks with different shape of the supporting surface. The results of modeling the interaction of the track with soil are presented. As a result, the obtained equations relate the shearing force and the movement of the track for various types of soil, various vertical loads and directions of shear. The equations are used in a mathematical model of the motion of a tracked vehicle to calculate the resistance forces on curved sections. The results of the simulation of the movement of the machine are presented. The proposed method allows accounting for the properties of the soil, the shape of the track support surface, the uneven distribution of the load acting on the support rollers. |
