Popis:	Fractals are often defined in a constructive way. In this paper a new possibility for the construction of random measures concentrated on fractals is presented. The fractal measures are generated by time discrete branching processes. It will be shown that a large class of self-similar fractals fit in the framework of this model. For some examples the carrying dimension is determined
