Popis:	A possible mechanism of the activating effect of the solid surface of inorganic compounds has been deduced on the basis of kinetic and spectroscopic data obtained in a study of lactam polymerizations initiated by transition metal oxides. The main requirements that have to be met in order to obtain a high degree of efficiency in the production process, at the stage of synthesis of composite polyamides, have been formulated. Ways in which the efficiency of the process may be increased are outlines.
