Popis: | This study explores the water quality status and pollution sources in lake Ghrib, Algeria. Sampling was done monthly at six sites. Principal component analysis was used to analyze the dataset. PCA showed that three principal components explained 69.18% of water quality variability. The PCA-1 and PCA-3 bi-plot suggested that visibility in lake correlated directly to nutrients and calcium with close association with the sampling site close to the mouth of Chelif river. The pollution threat in lake includes agricultural and domestic sources. |
