Popis: | We study the stability of the soliton-like polaron states in a molecular chain by means of a perturbation approach. We demonstrate that, under the influence of thermal fluctuations in the host lattice, the soliton gradually decays into delocalized ('excitonic') states. The soliton lifetime depends strongly on temperature and the coupling strength. |
