The current trend towards the formation and expansion of mega cities is underpinned by the valorisation and accumulation of capital. The replacement of capitalism with the Commons-Based Peer Production will spurn a new spatial logic which will transcend the division between the rural and the urban, combining the best aspects of the two. The construction of space will be guided by the requirement of the protection of environment, egalitarian social relations and the comfort and welfare of people. |
