Heat treatment, structure, and properties of powder high-speed steels 10R6M5-MP and R6M5K5-MP

Popis: 1. In powder high-speed steels R6M5K5-MP and 10R6M5-MP the temperature for the start of carbide dissolution during austenitizing is 45–55°C lower and thermal effects of their dissolution are half those in cast steels of similar grades. 2. Heat treatment schedules have been developed for powder high-speed steels 10R6M5-MP and R6M5K5-MP with a heating temperature for hardening 50°C lower than for cast steels. Introduction of these schedules made it possible to improve the mechanical properties of the materials and to increase tool life by about a factor of two.
