The paper considers the evolution of views on the physical nature of slow deformation disturbances in geomediums. The accumulated contradictions and clear misconceptions are noted, the autosoliton concept of slow deformation dynamics in the active (loaded) nonlinear geomedium is presented. It is shown that the autosoliton concept of slow deformation dynamics is consistent and allows one to explain the deformation processes observed in the geomedium from a single perspective. An example of a pulsating autosoliton along a fault is given. |
