Popis: Aluminum holds the excellent properties of being lightweight, perfectly workable, resisting corrosion phenomena, and is efficiently heat and electrical conductivity. Operating aluminum alloy over a heat treatment can improve such properties even more. This article reviews selected commonly used heat treatment processes for aluminum alloys. Ingot Preheating is discussed to decrease chemical segregation. Annealing technique is summarized, for attenuate strain-hardened purposes. Solution heat-treating and quenching procedures are also investigated. Finally, the review includes the aging treatment as thermal process.
