Popis: We now consider bremsstrahlung produced in atomic collisions when the colliding particles have relativistic energies. Besides bremsstrahlung of charged structureless particles (electrons, positrons, muons, protons) on atoms (see Chapters 5, 7, and 8 as well), here we shall consider emission from atom—atom and ion—atom collisions when both the target and the incident particle (projectile) have internal structure. Using the neutrino as an example, we then examine bremsstrahlung from particles whose interactions with an atom are not electromagnetic in character. In this case, along with the characteristic features of polarization bremsstrahlung (and for neutrinos, there is no other radiation but polarization bremsstrahlung), certain features owing to weak interactions will show up.
