Popis: | Ascorbic acid administered orally at a dose of 2 gm per day for 15 days to hypercholesterolemic cardiac patients significantly reduced serum total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and significantly increased high density lipoprotein cholesterol. Ascorbic acid at a dose of 4 gm was ineffective. |
