Popis: | An invariant imbedding approach is used to find the neutral stability curves for two classic problems in, fluid flow stability, flow between rotating cylinders and between parallel plates. The method reduces the problem to finding the first singularity along a line of a system of Riccati equations with known initial conditions, and presents substantial computational advantages over previous methods. The numerical results obtained are compared with known theoretical and experimental results, showing good agreement. |
