In the early development of animals, both the organism morphology and the genes expression undergo dramatic changes, and epigenetic information plays an important role in this process. In recent years, benefit from the development of genome and other technologies, we are able to know more detail information on how the different epigenetic information involved in the process of gametogenesis, transgenerational genetics and early development. It is found that the epigenetic information is often genome-wide reprogramming in these processes. This review mainly introduces the reprogramming role of the epigenetic information (including DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility, histone modification and the chromatin 3D structure) during the gametogenesis and embryogenesis, and introduces the conservatism and evolution roles in different species. |
