Popis: | 1. It is established that sintered steel components with additions of glass are very sensitive to thermal stresses during hardening, due to the shape of the components and the low thermal conductivity of the material. 2. Components of simple shape can be hardened without danger of crack formation to a hardness value of HRC = 59–61 from a temperature of 870°C in water. 3. Thin-walled components (gears) having constructional stress concentrators in the form of sudden changes in cross section, channels, gaps, etc., can be hardened to the required hardness, without the formation of hardening cracks, from 820±10°C in a 20%-aqueous solution of NaOH. The apertures of the hubs should be rammed with asbestos to reduce stresses. |
