Popis:	Summary Two hundred and twenty-one cases of squamous cancer of the oral cavity (tongue, floor of mouth, and mandibular alveolus) treated by three different methods, namely, surgery, radiation therapy, and combined therapy, are analyzed. A rationale of patient selection is presented, and a detailed analysis of the results is documented. All factors affecting survival are studied. Combined radiation therapy and surgery uniformly yielded the best survival in the sites studied.
