Popis: | In the course of the operation of power transistor converters of electric energy, various emergency situations are possible, e.g., a short circuit in the load circuit. The rate of increase in the short-circuit current and its amplitude are affected by the parameters of electric circuit (inductance, power supply voltage of the inverter, control voltage across the gate), as well as by the properties of transistors. A method for preliminary estimation of the short-circuit current and rate of its increase at the stage of designing a converter has been suggested in the paper. This method is based on the theory of planning a multifactor experiment. Calculations of the aforementioned parameters for an inverter with the given technical characteristics have been carried out. A comparison of the results of calculation and physical layout has shown that the suggested approach can be used in the design of any electric energy converters in power semiconductor devices. |
