Launch of an aerospace vehicle is complex and requires a lot of expenditure and human efforts. IIR Seeker is one of the most important subsystems and plays a vital role during terminal phase for high altitude target engagement. Before testing the hardware IIR seeker, its behavior is modeled in high end computer with real time features and various interfaces (i.e. MIL-STD 1553B, RS-422 etc.). The dynamic behavior and performance of seeker is tested by using Flight Motion Simulator (FMS), Dual Target Motion Simulator (DTMS) and IIR Target Growth Simulators (IIRTGS). Seeker data is captured by data acquisition system for monitoring and analysis. The performance of the IIR seeker is evaluated through a numbers of test cases runs with an IIR target growth simulator. This paper describes the techniques and procedures for performance analysis of IIR seeker through HILS. |
