Popis: This chapter first focuses on choice situations in which cyclic preferences seem natural and considers why they might be seen as too disorderly to be rationally permissible. It then discusses how cyclic preference can be defended and how the most influential challenge to cyclic preferences, namely the money-pump argument, can be reinterpreted. The chapter then turns to incomplete preferences, which raise similar concerns and can be defended in a similar way.
