Popis: | In this paper we explore the cooperativity over a vehicular ad hoc network based Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), where we promote the communication between two moving vehicles; the source and the destination, to exchange traffic information. We assume that fading constraints overrun this environment, so accordingly the direct link between the source and the destination nodes is not considered. Therefore, full-duplex (FD) relays cooperate with the source to send data packets to the destination. For our system, these cooperative vehicles are supposed battery powered, so our mean purpose is to minimize the total energy consumption. In this context, the paper presents a new proposal applied to an optimal relay selection policy, aiming to investigate minimum power transmission of the source, while maintaining the overall network connectivity, and so achieve better power saving of our based decode-and-forward (DF) system. The abovementioned suggestion is evaluated through the use of the closed form analytical expression of the relay selection outage probability. The selection takes place for potential relays situated within the range selection satisfying the condition of requiring minimum transmit power while keeping a satisfied performance. For verification simulation results are presented. |
