Popis: | Short-term scheduling in electric power systems requires making two interdependent decisions. The first and integer decision involves determining commitment states (on/off) for the generating units at each hour of the scheduling horizon (1 day – 1 week). The second decision is known as economic dispatch (ED) problem. It involves the allocation of the demand to the on-line units. The arising mixed-integer problem is commonly referred to as unit commitment (UC) for an all-thermal and as hydro-thermal coordination (HTC) for a hydro-thermal system, respectively. |
