A conceptual design of the undercarriage layout of a high-speed caterpillar vehicle with a weight of 35 tons and the front location of the driving wheel was developed. Maximum highway speed is 60 km/h. The developed vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic double-acting vane shock-absorber, coaxial in its arrangement. There is also a mechanism of gooseneck tensioning, which is designed as a worm gear with a globo-idal gearing.The layout scheme of the components of the running gear of the high-speed caterpillar vehicle is proposed; strength and longevity calculations of the main tracked mover elements and sprinter system have been done. Suspension node, damping element of the suspension and guide wheel assembly with the track tensioning mechanism are designed. Suspension elastic and shock absorber characteristics for forward and reverse travel are determined. |
