Popis: | This article reports the evaluative findings from a family planning and sexuality training program for human service professionals. This study assessed the effects of the training program on human service professionals knowledge of human sexuality and family planning skill in working with clients around sexual health issues and ability to apply the above in practice settings. The training program was designed based on a trainee needs assessment. The data indicate significant changes from the pre-test to post-test assessment of knowledge and skills. Transferability of gains to work settings was also in evidence. In addition positive feedback was received on workshop content and methodology. The results of this study suggest the applicability of this training model for extending human sexuality and family planning knowledge and skill development in human service professionals working with Title XX clients in a variety of service agencies.
