Popis:	Karyotypes ofAllium fistulosum, A. altaicum andA. cepa cv. Karmen are described and protein patterns of their seeds determined by immunoelectrophoresis are compared. Esterase isoenzymes were evaluated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and isoelectrofocusing. Karyological and chemotaxonomical analysis confirmed thatA. fistulosum andA. altaicum are closely related and both species are taxonomieally distant fromA. cepa cv. Karmen.
