This paper deals with the qualitatively correct numerical solution of differential equations with known invariants. We use general linear methods with standard projection technique to preserve the invariants numerically by projecting the solution onto the desired manifold. The projection scheme admits the integration without any drift from the desired manifold and is computationally cost effective. The numerical experiments presented in this paper show the advantages of the proposed schemes. |
